Paraguayan Senate Passes Bill Regulating Crypto Mining and Trading

The main modification proposed by the Chamber of Deputies and accepted by the Senate is that the primary law enforcement authority will be the Ministry of Industry and Commerce. The ministry will penalize those individuals or legal entities carrying out mining or providing services with crypto without the corresponding authorization. The Senate has also proposed that the ministry of industry and commerce would be the primary enforcement authority for the mining industry. The proposal is supported by the majority of the chamber of deputies and the Senate, but the Senate has not yet agreed to the proposal, which is expected to be approved. It is not the first time the government has agreed to allow mining in the country to take place in a country without authorization for mining or other legal entities to operate in the crypto industry.
