Head of sales at Huobi Global says institutional investors with billions of dollars are exploring the digital asset space. James Hume says some investors have gotten “cold feet” over crypto, but others are exploring it. Hume estimates that 20–30 firms with more than $1 billion could start trading in the space within the year. Huobi's Thailand-based affiliate, a separate entity, planned to shutter by July 1 after the country's Securities and Exchanges Commission revoked the firm’s operating license.
