Ethereum founder calls out Bitcoin developer’s Pos claims

Vitalik Buterin has responded to claims that the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) mechanism does not provide a decentralized consensus. A developer of Bitcoin, Jimmy Song, led the attack against PoS by pointing out that the protocol does not solve the Byzantine General’s Problem. PoS eliminates economies of scale from which the biggest miners in PoW profit, whereas PoS offers each user an equal chance. The New York Senate recently approved a bill that imposes a two-year ban on any new PoW mining ventures in the state that use carbon-based fuel.
