El Salvador's last bitcoin purchase was in May, when the Central American country acquired 500 coins for a total of $15.3 million, at a price of $30,744 each. From September to date, the country has acquired 2,301 coins, but its portfolio is currently worth $46.6 million. El Salvador is 55.03% down on its bitcoin bet, according to CoinDesk data based on CoinDesk's data. The Central American nation has acquired $103.9 million in bitcoin since September, but it's worth more than $46 million in the last six months, the data shows. The country's portfolio is now worth $47 million, the most of it was purchased in August 2013, the report says. Source
