The River Food Pantry is one of the first non-profits in Madison, Wisconsin to accept cryptocurrency donations. Unlike a government issued currency, crypto is a completely digital asset. People can buy, sell, or trade them just like stocks or bonds. The Association for Fundraising Professionals Greater Madison Chapter is starting to educate some of its members about digital currency donations.
